Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

Orvoi ("we," "us," "the tools that shouldn't exist") runs orvoi.com, a collection of intentionally unreliable AI-flavored tools. This page explains what information we collect when you visit, why, and what your choices are. We've tried to write it like a human, not a legal template — if anything is unclear, email us.

What we collect

We keep this to the minimum needed to run the site and understand how it's used:

Usage data. Like most websites, we use analytics to see which pages and tools get visited, roughly how long people stay, and what browser/device they're using. This is aggregated and not tied to your name or email.

Cookies. We and our advertising partners (see below) may use cookies or similar technologies to remember basic preferences and to serve and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, some ad personalization just won't.

Anything you submit. If you use the Contact form or the Submit an Idea page, we collect whatever you type — typically your name, email, and message — so we can reply or consider your submission.

Tool inputs. Text you type into an individual tool (the Optimistic Spell Checker, the Existential Chatbot, etc.) is processed to generate the tool's output. We don't build user profiles from it, and we don't sell it.

Advertising

Orvoi displays ads served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies or device identifiers to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review and adjust how Google personalizes ads at adssettings.google.com, and learn more about Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Fun fact: Google AdSense rejected our first application, which feels appropriate for a site built entirely on things rejecting their intended purpose. We took the feedback the same way our Motivational De-Motivator would: personally, and without much hope. We've since tidied up, and we'd like to think we've earned our confidently-unreliable spot in your sidebar.

How we use information

To run and maintain the site, understand what's working (or, fittingly, what's broken), respond to messages, moderate submissions, and keep the ads on the lights.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information. We don't share contact-form or submission content with advertisers. We don't require an account or login to use any tool on the site.

Data retention

Contact and submission messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to or consider them, then periodically cleared. Aggregated analytics data may be retained longer since it isn't tied to an individual.

Children's privacy

Orvoi isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can clear cookies, use browser privacy modes, or install ad-blocking/tracking-protection extensions at any time. If you'd like us to delete a message you sent us, email us and reference roughly when you sent it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Check back occasionally — much like our tools, this page is a work in progress, but unlike our tools, we're trying to make it more accurate over time, not less.
